These Paleo dirty chai lattes make a cozy addition to your morning routine!



For the Lattes:

  • 2 cups coffee
  • 2 chai tea bags
  • 1 cup almond milk (recipe follows)
  • 1 ½ teaspoons honey (optional, omit for whole30)
  • ¼ teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • ¼ teaspoon ground cardamom

For the Almond Milk

  • 1 cup raw almonds, soaked in water overnight then drained and rinsed
  • 34 oz coconut water
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract (omit for strict whole30)
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon


To make the lattes:

  1. Brew your coffee and add the chai tea bags to steep
  2. Heat the almond milk on the stove top until warm
  3. Add the chai spiced coffee and almond milk, plus the honey and spices to a high-speed blender and blend until frothy
  4. Pour into two mugs. Top with a dusting of cinnamon and enjoy!

To make the almond milk:

  1. Add the drained and rinsed almonds to a high-speed blender with the coconut water, vanilla and cinnamon. Blend on high for several minutes until almonds are fully broken down and incorporated
  2. Using a nut milk bag or double layered cheese cloth, strain the milk
  3. Discard the almond pulp, or re-purpose in another recipe
  4. Keeps in the fridge for several days
